In this year, Len son of Ghrem saw the flock his brother Sceg tended, and he resolved to plant a garden great enough to fill a mountain meadow. So he did, in secret. Yet, Sceg happened upon Len’s field of seedlings, which whelmed him over with dismay and foreboding. Len observed his brother’s dearth of enthusiasm and forgave him not a whit.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the Steelhearts heroic fantasy anthology I edited and published, with the backing of The Brothers Krynn and contributions from Redd Oscar, The Man Behind the Screen, Kathrine Elaine, Harold Ember, and Mercedes de Santiago, is scheduled for release tomorrow (October 15), print on demand, from the usual suspects.
