In this year, Len son of Ghrem saw the flock his brother Sceg tended, and he resolved to plant a garden great enough to fill a mountain meadow. So he did, in secret. Yet, Sceg happened upon Len’s field of seedlings, which whelmed him over with dismay and foreboding. Len observed his brother’s dearth of enthusiasm and forgave him not a whit.
